The Mariana Islands off Japan's Southern coast was struck by a large 6.2 earthquake. It was later modified to 5.8 by the usgs and the depth 6 mls. There are reports of damage to buildings. This happened only 4 days after china's apocalyptic earthquake which left over 1/2 millions buildings destroyed and 89 dead. It also continues a troubling swarm of over 150 large earthquakes in the East since April with Indonesia's 8.6 and over 200 large quakes worldwide.
